The art of dentistry is not just about gaining knowledge and being the best you can.
It’s not just about gaining a reputation where people learn to respect and trust you.
There are times when you need to step aside and give back. And it matters most when you give to those who cannot repay you.
In 2012 and 2014 I was one of a few privileged people to travel to Indonesia, into the very heartland of some of the poorest areas.
It was one of the most humbling experiences being able to treat people who have never seen a dentist in their lives.
